Our HistorySince then, we have gained membership and have jumped into community involvement. We have participated as a team in events such as the Dad’s Day 5k (in Dallas each June) and the River Run 5k (in Fort Worth each September), we have an annual Homeless Project to help the male residents of Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth, and we have collected books and magazines for the Veteran’s Hospital in Dallas. We are all over the metroplex! Our proudest accomplishment, however, is the development of the Mask Project, an answer to the Clothesline Project (the Clothesline focuses almost exclusively on female victims of Domestic Violence). We plan to display this touching and amazing project each October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month – to highlight the plight of men who are abused. Please join us! And bond with others that are striving to show that men are a wonderful and necessary part of our society and that they should be shown compassion and given an equal opportunity to experience all of life, love and longevity! |
